Climate
The chaparral biome has a hot and dry climate during the summer with temperatures going up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The summer also has droughts in it as well. The winter however has a mild and moist climate with temperatures going down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The average rainfall for the region is 10-17in of rain annually.
Adaptations
-The Black-tailed Jackrabbit has long legs which allows it to outrun predators.
-The Golden Jackal can grow its coat thicker which helps it stay warm in the colder winters.
-The Grey Fox is small, agile and has strong legs which allows it to climb trees to escape predators.
